"Above The Clouds, The Sun (Son) Still Shines!"
How to keep the faith, even when it looks dark and hopeless.

Above the Clouds, the Sun (Son) Still Shines!
Some years ago, I had the chance to fly on a plane. As we took off, the skies were gray and heavy with clouds. Everything looked gloomy and dim. But then, as we climbed higher, something incredible happened—the plane broke through the thick blanket of clouds, and suddenly, there it was: the sun. Bright, brilliant, unshaken. It hadn’t gone anywhere. It had been shining all along—I just couldn’t see it from the ground.
That moment hit me deeply.
How often in life do we feel like we’re stuck under the clouds? Whether it’s grief, fear, uncertainty, or loneliness, those heavy “skies” can make it seem like the light is gone, like God has disappeared or turned His face away. But just like the sun above the clouds, the Son of God—Jesus—is always there, even when we can’t feel Him.
Hebrews 13:5 reminds us of His promise:
"I will never leave you nor forsake you."
It doesn't say He might stick around if we’re strong enough or if we have it all together. No—He never leaves. His presence isn’t based on our feelings; it’s based on His faithfulness.
When the skies of life grow dark, we can rest in the truth that Jesus hasn’t gone anywhere. He sees us, loves us, and walks with us, even when our hearts feel clouded with pain or confusion. And just like flying above the clouds reveals the light, spending time in His Word, in prayer, and in quiet moments with Him helps us rise above the weight of what we're going through and remember who He is.
So if you’re in a season where the “clouds” feel thick and endless, take heart. The Son is still shining. He hasn’t left you. You are not alone!
